Our Mission
"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" - Matthew 19:14

Our mission at Asbury Methodist Church is to partner with families to help children know, love, and follow Jesus by creating a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment where faith is nurtured, Scripture is taught, and Gods love is experienced.

Our Goals

Build a Foundation of Faith-Encourage children to develop a personal relationship with Jesus and grow in prayer, trust, and obedience to Him

Create a Safe and Loving Environment-Provide a secure, welcoming space where every child feels known, valued, and cared for

Partner With Parents-Support and equip families as the primary spiritual leaders of their children through communication, resources, and encouragement

Model Christlike Character-Help children learn to love others, show kindness, practice forgiveness, and live out their faith daily

Develop Community and Belonging-Foster friendships and a sense of belonging within the church family

Equip and Support Volunteers-Train and encourage volunteers to serve with confidence, consistency, and compassion

Serve and Share Gods Love-Provide opportunities for children to serve others and learn how to live out the Great Commandment and Great Commission

Ministry Safe

At Asbury Methodist Church, the safety and well being of every child and student is one of our highest priorities. We are committed to providing a Christ centered environment where children and students can grow in their faith while being cared for, protected, and respected.

All staff and volunteers who serve with children and students at Asbury are required to follow Ministry Safe policies, complete Ministry Safe certification, and get background checked prior to serving. This training and certification helps ensure that everyone working with our young people understands appropriate boundaries, supervision practices, and how to recognize and report concerns.

By following Ministry Safe standards, Asbury Methodist Church is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and trusted environment for every family. For questions about our Ministry Safe policies or serving opportunities, please contact our Ministry Safe Admin and Children's Ministry Director, Susan Francis at susan.francis@asburycc.org .
